The Green Turtle is one of the largest sea turtles, and confusingly they are not green, although the fat under their shells is, and this is how the name came about.  Green Sea Turtles live in tropical and subtropical waters, but are known to travel huge distances in their lifetimes.  Sadly, they are an endangered species, mainly due to habitat loss.

I have classed this as an advanced project, as there are a lot of new techniques, particularly within the background, but also within the shell, and patterned body of the animal.  The background would be good to practise beforehand, and you don’t have to go through the entire process of applying it.  Those with less experience may want to stop at just a graduated background with no added details.  The choice is of course yours.
